  Manor Fields Park - Sheffield

Volunteering at Manor Fields Park

Want to get involved?
There are all sorts of ways you can help to volunteer at Manor Fields Park - either on the landscape or helping with the community work through ECHO and Friends of Manor Fields.

Drop-in Thursdays
Would you like to get involved with enhancing Manor Fields Park to make it an even better place for community and for wildlife?
  • Join our practical work session from 10.00am until 14:30pm (with an hour for lunch) every Thursday.  Help with practical tasks, survey the plants and the wildlife, learn new skills, meet new people and enjoy a sense of achievement.
  • Don't worry if you can't make it every week,  Just when you feel you can.
  • Just remember to dress for working outside and bring sturdy shoes (we do have spare boots available).

Corporate Volunteering
We host Corporate Volunteer practical work sessions on Manor Fields which we find really beneficial to teams working out of the office for the day, enjoying the fresh air and working in the great outdoors to benefit the park and create habitats for wildlife.

Other Involvement
There is always someone carrying out work on Manor Fields Park for a whole raft of different reasons. There has been church groups wanting to do something for the local neighborhood, students wanting to gain some practical experience, work experience placements from schools - all sorts.
If you are a group who would like to be involved on the park, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can work at organising a supervised work session for you.

Help us keep the park tidy
We cannot be everywhere all of the time so if you see something you think we should know about give us a ring or drop us an email and we will try and deal with the problem as soon as we can.
We will attempt to clear litter,  dumping and offensive graffiti on the same day, though vandalism and general graffiti can take a little longer.

Let us know what’s going on
Manor Fields Park is a busy place with lots of different things happening so if you see something that concerns you or that is just interesting, please let us know.

Tell us what you spot
Manor Fields Park contains lots of wildlife, plants and flowers, sometimes we do not always see them (animals/birds/insects) or at their best (flowers) so if you do see something of interest when out on the park we’d love to know, even better with a picture if you can!

Let us know what you think...
