Park Managers Log 06/04/2014

Excavations for the pond edge are proving difficult as we can't find the bottom of the mud. So far we've gone down nearly two metres and it's still soft.

Park Managers Log 05/03/2014
After a long wait and years of planning, work has finally commenced on the improvements behind York House.

If you walk through the park to the pond you will see that the trees blocking the views and filling the waters edge have been removed. Land forms and the creation of a new bank is under way - though at the moment this is just a sea of black mud.

Directly behind York House the children's play area is under construction with the clearance and excavations for the nice big sandpit. The old hedges have been removed and fencing relocated.

Ultimately there will be swings, springers, benches and a climbing boulder. We hope to have a climbing frame built into the Sycamore if funding can stretch that far.
